11 armed insurgents killed in Faryab and Logar provinces
Counterterrorism:
Afghan National Police launched an independent operation in the Khowaja Kenti village, Qisar District of Faryab province.
As a result of this operation, three armed insurgents were killed and two others arrested with amount of weapons by Afghan National Police.

In a separate operation, Afghan National Police (Special Units) launched an operation in the Almar District of Faryab province.
As a result, three armed insurgents were killed.
Also, during this operation, Afghan National Police discovered and
confiscated one suicide vest and three different types of weapons.
Additionally, five armed insurgents were killed and two others were
wounded by their own explosives while they attempted to fire a mortar
round on residential area in the Dowshanba village, Braki District of
Logar province.
