June 05., 2013. - RC-East operational update

BAGRAM, Afghanistan - Afghan National Security and coalition forces discovered one weapons cache and found and safely cleared eight improvised explosive devices during operations in eastern Afghanistan throughout the past 24 hours, June 4.

Ghazni province
Afghan National Security and coalition forces found and safely cleared one IED during operations in the Ab Band district.

Afghan National Security and coalition forces found and safely cleared one IED during operations in the Gelan district.

Khowst province
Afghan National Security and coalition forces found and safely cleared one IED during operations in the Saberi district.

Laghman province
Afghan National Security Forces found and safely cleared one IED during operations in the Mehtar lam district.

Kapisa province
Afghan National Security Forces found and safely cleared one IED during operations in the Tag Ab district.

Nangarhar province
Afghan National Security Forces found and safely cleared two IEDs during operations in the Bati Kot district.

Paktya province
Afghan National Security Forces found and safely cleared one IED during operations in the Zardan district.

Parwan province
Afghan National Security and coalition forces discovered one weapons cache during operations in the Bagram district. The cache contained one revolver, five police uniforms, one police ID card, one spent artillery round, one empty anti-tank mine, and electrical components.
