ISAF media office in eastern Afghanistan said the drone crashed on Tuesday morning at Sarkano district in Ganjgal area.
The source further added the drone crashed due to technical problems.
According to ISAF officials in eastern Afghanistan coalition security forces are providing air support to Afghan special forces who are conducting operation in this province during the past 2 days.
In the meantime a spokesman for the Taliban group Zabiullah Mujahid said the drone was shot down by Taliban fighters and at least 10 Afghan and coalition forces were killed during the operations.
