According to local authorities in western Farah province of Afghanistan, at least four people including a woman were killed and five others were injured following a roadside bomb explosion in this province.
Provincial governor spokesman Abdul Rahman Zhwandai confirming the report said the incident took place around 6:30am local time on Sunday morning after a civilian vehicle struck with a roadside bomb at Korghan village in Khak-e-Safid district.
Mr. Zhwandai further added, the victims of the incident are residents of Korghan village and were on their way towards the center of the district when the incident took place.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
Local authorities blame Taliban group for the incident as Taliban fighters frequently use improvised explosive device as the weapon of their choice to target Afghan and coalition security forces which normally leads to civilian casualties.
