LASHKAR GAH, Afghanistan, June 27 (Xinhua) -- Twin blasts which targeted police in Musa Qala district of Helmand province, 555 km south of kabul, left four police dead on Wednesday, spokesman for provincial administration Daud Ahmadi said.

"The first blast in the shape of roadside bombing took place in Musa Qala bazaar at around 10:30 a.m. local time, fortunately caused no loss of life, but unfortunately the second blast which happened in a span of few minutes in Landi Nawi village of Musa Qala claimed the lives of four policemen," Ahmadi told Xinhua.

He blamed the enemies of peace, a term used against Taliban militants for organizing the attacks. However, the outfit has yet to make comment.
