In Several Joint Clearance Operations, Four Armed Taliban Killed
Counterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army,
NDS and Coalition Forces launched seven joint clearance operations in
Uruzgan, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni and Helmand provinces.
As a result of these operations, four armed Taliban were killed and two others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and
confiscated three AK-47 rifles, 10 different types of mines, 50 kilos of
explosives, five 82mm artillery shells, 238 kilos of opium and two
magazines.
During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered,
confiscated and defused one remote controlled mine, two anti-vehicle
mines and one rocket launcher in Kabul, Kunar, Jowzjan and Logar
provinces.
Crimes:
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained five suspects accused of theft in the 5th District of Kabul-City yesterday.
