Afghan Policeman Killed in Roadside Bomb

One Afghan policeman was killed and another was wounded in a roadside bomb blast in eastern Nangarhar province on Sunday night, local officials said.

The blast took place in Lalpoor district of Nangarhar when a police vehicle struck a roadside bomb, officials added.

No group including the Taliban has claimed responsibility for the blast.

Insurgents often use improved explosive devices to target Afghan and foreign troops in the province.
