The operation was launched in Daman district of Kandahar province and the facilitator supplied insurgents throughout the district with weapons, ammunition and equipment, Isaf said in a statement.
"He also participated in roadside bombings and other attacks against Afghan and coalition security forces," it said.
The statement also said that Afghan and coalition troops have discovered a drug cache in Maiwand district of Kandahar province today.
The cache consisted of 1,650 pounds (750 kilograms) of marijuana, which was destroyed on-site, it added.
