TIRINKOT (PAN): Three civilians were killed and four others wounded in two separate roadside bombings in central Uruzgan province on Sunday, an official said.
The first explosion occurred at around 3pm in Shali Nava area of Khas Uruzgan district, where a passenger bus struck a roadside bomb.
One civilian was killed and two others injured in the blast, police spokesman Fared Ayel told Pajhwok Afghan News.
A second explosion happened in the Zamanda area of Tirinkot, the provincial capital, where a passenger van hit a similar bomb. Ayel said two people were killed and as many injured.
A doctor on duty in the provincial hospital, Izzatullah, confirmed receiving two dead bodies and as many injured people from the site of the second blast. There was no immediate claim of responsibility.
