Nine Taliban killed, one wounded and 11 arrested by Afghan National Police
Counterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army,
NDS and Coalition Forces launched four joint clearance operations in
Kabul, Balkh, Paktika and Pakitya provinces.
As a result of these operations, nine Taliban were killed, one wounded and 11 others were arrested by Afghan National Police.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and
confiscated three AK-47 assault rifles, two motorcycles and some amount
of ammunitions.
In the meantime, two mine planters were killed and one wounded by their
own explosives while they were planting a roadside mine in the main
road of Zurmat District of Paktiya province, yesterday.
Additionally, Afghan National Police arrested a mine planter while he
was planting an anti-vehicle mine in the Gardiz City capital of Paktiya
province, yesterday.
Meanwhile, Afghan National Police discovered and defused two
anti-vehicle mines a as a result of security operations in Nangarhar and
Kandahar provinces, yesterday.
