28 Armed Taliban Killed, Five Wounded and 54 Arrested by Afghan National Police
Counterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army,
NDS and Coalition Forces launched nine joint clearance operations in
Nangarhar, Baghlan, Kandahar, Zabul, Maidan Wardak, Ghazni, Ghor,
Helmand and Nimroz provinces.
As a result of these operations, 28 armed Taliban were killed, five wounded and 54 others were arrested by Afghan National Police.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and
confiscated 934 kilos of opium, three rocket launchers, two PKM machine
guns, 17 different types of weapons, three radio handsets and one
motorcycle.
Additionally, Afghan National Police discovered and defused one
anti-vehicle mine and 100 kilos of explosives as a result of security
operations in Parwan and Khost provinces, yesterday.
Crimes:
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained a man accused of murder in the Dah Sabz District of Kabul-City.
