In Several Joint Clearance Operations, Seven Armed Taliban Killed
Counterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army,
NDS and Coalition Forces launched nine joint clearance operations in
Kabul, Kunduz, Maidan Wardak, Logar, Khost and Helmand provinces.
As a result of these operations, seven armed Taliban were killed, seven wounded and four others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and
confiscated 304 heavy rounds, 11 different types of mines, 633 kilos of
explosives, one motorcycle and one vehicle.
Additionally, Afghan National Police during security patrols discovered
and defused five anti-vehicle mines and 11 missile and mortar rounds
which were placed by the enemies of peace and stability in Nangarhar,
Zabul, Uruzgan, Paktika, Paktiya and Herat provinces yesterday.
Counter Narcotics:
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained a smuggler with 7kg of opium in the 8th District of Kabul-City.
