27 armed insurgents killed and seven others arrested by Afghan National Police
Counterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army,
NDS and Coalition Forces launched 10 joint clearance operations in
Kabul, Kunar, Nangarhar, Nooristan, Kunduz, Faryab, Badakhshan, Zabul,
Paktika and Farah provinces.
As a result of these operations, 27 armed insurgents were killed and seven others were arrested by Afghan National Police.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and
confiscated four PKM machine guns, 13 different types of weapons, one
radio handset, 68 heavy rounds, 80 light rounds, five different types of
mines, 90 kilograms of explosive materials, 10 magazines and one
vehicle.
During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and
defused seven different of mines and 50 kilograms of explosive materials
as a result of security operations in Kandahar, Nimroz, Uruzgan, Maidan
Wardak and Herat provinces.
The Afghan National Police dedicate their lives to protecting the people.
Crimes:
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained five individuals accused of theft, using fake banknotes and assault in the Paghman, Bagrami, 1st and 8th Districts of Kabul-City.
