Six armed insurgents killed, one wounded and three arrested by Afghan National Police
Counterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army,
NDS and Coalition Forces launched seven joint clearance operations in
Takhar, Kandahar, Zabul, Herat, Farah and Helmand provinces.
As a result of these operations, six armed insurgents were killed, one wounded and three others were arrested by Afghan National Police.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and
confiscated 35 kilograms of opium, 25 different types of weapons with 14
magazines, one PKM machine gun, one radio handset, 60 heavy rounds, 600
light rounds, 38 different types of mines, two hand grenades, 750
kilograms of explosive materials and three motorcycles.
During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and
defused one anti-vehicle mine in the Khogyani District of Nangarhar
province.
Crimes:
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained two men accused of trafficking and assault in the 6th and 8th Districts of Kabul-City.

In the meantime, Afghan National Border Police arrested five
individuals with fake passports at the Kabul International Airport.
