A heavy explosion rocked southern Uruzgan province of Afghanistan on Thursday, killing and injuring at least 18 Afghan civilians.
Local authorities said the incident took place after a civilian bus struck with a roadside bomb, killing 10 Afghan civilians and injuring more thant 10 others.
Provincial governor spokesman Abdullah Hemat said a number of women and children were also among those killed or injured following the blast.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
