A suicide bomb blast rocked southern Kandahar province of Afghanistan late Wednesday evening injuring at least 7 Afghan civilians, local authorities.
The officials further added the incident took place around 6 pm local time after a suicide bomber detonated explosives packed in a transportation motorcycle in southern Kandahar city.
Provincial governor spokesman Javid Faisal said the incident took place in a market where motorcycles were being sold.
He said the suicide bomber was killed following the blast and 7 others including an indivual who was accompanying the suicide bomber was injured followig the blast.
Mr. Faisal also said that Afghan security forces have launched investigations in this regard.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
