In Several Joint Clearance Operations, Four Armed Taliban Killed
Counterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army,
NDS and Coalition Forces launched 10 joint clearance operations in
Kabul, Nangarhar, Kunduz, Kandahar, Helmand, Uruzgan, Logar, Paktiya,
Herat and Farah provinces.
As a result of these operations, four armed Taliban were killed, one wounded and 19 others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces.

Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and
confiscated 15 kilos of opium, six AK-47 assault rifles, four different
types of weapons, 27 heavy rounds, 30700 light rounds, six different
types of mines and 20 kilos explosives.
Additionally, Afghan National Police discovered and defused a remote
control mine as a result of security operation in the Pul-e-Khumri City
capital of Baghlan province, yesterday.
Crimes:
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained three suspects accused of theft in the 5th District of Kabul-City.
