5 year old Afghan girl raped in Balkh province
Afghan police forces arrested an Afghan man accused of raping a five years old girl in northern Balkh province of Afghanistan.
Provincial police spokesman Shir Jan Durani said the man was arrested in Kaldar city in northern Balkh province and is 22 years old.
Mr. Durani further added the victim female kid was raped on Thursday night in a wedding ceremony and was taken to hospital for the treatment purposes.
This comes as there has been a growth in rape cases and sexual abusement of the Afghan kids in various cities of Afghanistan during the recent years.
Afghan interior ministry earlier said a mosque Imam had sexually abused an Afghan child in northern Samangan province and another security guard working for the Attorney General office in Kunar province was arrested over rape charges of another Afghan kid in this province.
Meanwhile a 12 years old girl was raped by a group of men in north-eastern Takhar province of Afghanistan in the month of May last year.
Civil society activists and women rights advocates have urged the Afghan government to take strict actions for trying those involved behind rape cases in Afghanistan.
In the meantime a number of critics accuse the Afghan government for being failed to introduce those behind the rape cases of Afghan children and called it a motive behind growing rape cases in the country.

Teenager Afghan boy sexually abused, murdered in Herat
Local authorities in western Herat province of Afghanistan on Monday said a teenager Afghan boy was murdered by unknown men after he was sexually abused in this province.
Afghan police officials confirmed they have arrested 3 men in connection to the abuse and murder of the 13 year old Afghan boy.
According to reports the deceased Afghan boy was recognized as Younus and a school student.
Provincial security chief Abdul Hamid Hamidi said the teenager boy was abused by his neighboring and was killed by the men.
This comes as there has been a growth in sexual abuse and rape cases in Afghanistan during the recent moths.
A five year old Afghan girl was raped by a man in northern Balkh province.
In the meantime local police officials in Herat province said the detained men are police officers and are residents of southern Kandahar and eastern Logar province.
