An Afghan border police guard was killed and three others were injured during the first explosion which took place in eastern Khost city of Afghanistan.
Provincial security chief Mohammad Yaqoub said around six Afghan civilians were also injured following the blast.
In the meantime a separate explosion took place in eastern Paktika province of Afghanistan, killing one person and injuring four others. The explosion took place in Yahya Khel district.
Provincial governor media office following a statement said the incident took place around 7am local time after a tractor vehicle struck with a roadside bomb.
The statement further added three Afghan kid and a woman were among those injured following the blast.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
There has been a considerable growth in violence across the country since Taliban group announced its summer offensive in April, and vowed to carry out attacks against the Afghan and coalition security forces, government officials and diplomatic institutions across the country.
