27 armed insurgents killed, one wounded and 16 others arrested by Afghan National PoliceCounterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army, NDS and Coalition Forces launched six joint clearance operations in Baghlan, Kandahar, Maidan Wardak, Paktiya, Farah and Helmand provinces.
As a result of these operations, 27 armed insurgents were killed, one wounded and 16 others were arrested by Afghan National Police.
Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated eight AK-47 assault rifles, two rocket launchers, two anti-vehicle mines, 50 packages of chemical materials, 180 kilograms of explosive materials, two pistols and two rockets.
During the same 24 hour period, Afghan National Police discovered and defused two anti-vehicle mines, two pistols, one bayonet and two rifles as a result of security operations in Helmand and Kabul provinces.
Crimes:
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained 10 individuals accused of seizing government property, theft and assault in the 2nd, 6th, 9th and 15th Districts of Kabul-City.
