Six Armed Taliban Killed and Eight Arrested by Afghan National Police
Counterterrorism:
During the past 24 hours, Afghan National Police, Afghan National Army, NDS and Coalition Forces launched five joint clearance operations in Helmand, Sar-e-Pul, Kunduz, Ghazni and Kandahar provinces.
As a result of these operations, six armed Taliban were killed and eight others were arrested by Afghan National Security Forces. Also, during these operations, Afghan National Police discovered and confiscated one PKM machine gun, six AK-47 assault rifles, six heavy rounds, 14 different types of mines, 46 kilos of explosives, two radio handsets and four motorcycles.
Additionally, Afghan National Police discovered and defused seven different types of mines as a result of security operations in Nooristan, Faryab and Zabul provinces, yesterday.
Crimes:
The 101 Kabul Zone National Police detained three individuals accused of murder and theft in the 5th and 11th Districts of Kabul-City.
