According to local authorities in eastern Nangarhar province of Afghanistan, at least 7 Afghan civilians were killed or injured following an explosion near Eidgah mosque in eastern Jalalabad city on Sunday.
Gen. Abdullah Khadim Stanekzai provincial security chief confirming the report said the incident took place after a motorcycle packed with explosives went off killing at least four people and injuring three others.
He said the incident took place around 6:30 pm local time and the main target of the blast was unclear.
Mr. Stanekzai also said the driver of the motorcycle is custody with the Afghan security forces in order to find out whether he had any connection with the militants.
No group including the Taliban militants has so far claimed responsibility behind the incident.
