DoD Identifies Army Casualty
The Department of Defense announced today the death of a soldier who was supporting Operation Enduring Freedom.
Sgt. 1st Class Riley G. Stephens, 39, of Tolar, Texas, died Sept. 28, in Wardak, Afghanistan, of wounds sustained from enemy small arms fire.
Stephens was assigned to the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group (Airborne), Fort Bragg, N.C.

Fort Bragg, N.C. — A Fort Bragg soldier was killed in Afghanistan Friday, the military announced Sunday.
Sgt. 1st Class Riley G. Stephens, 39, of Tolar, Texas, died of wounds from enemy small-arms fire in Wardak, military officials said. Stephens served with the 1st Battalion, 3rd Special Forces Group.
